Being A Blesing

To someone comes in more ways than one. This week I had a pleasure of blessing two little girls in my kindergarten class. Over the past few weeks we have been learning about community helpers. From policemen to construction workers we are covering it all. We introduced every woman’s favorite community helper the Beautician/Hair Stylist. The students learned how to take care of their hair and why it’s important to go to the salon. We reached out to the parents of my two little girls to get the ok to use them as an example, and of course they said yes. So I treated them to a wash, condition, and style. Now I have never done a child’s hair in my life but i figured I got this! That I sure did. I really enjoyed treating them and teaching them how beautiful their black is. They also were very happy as you could tell from the smiles on their faces once their hair was done. All the other little girls were begging me to do their hair as well. However we explained that we were only using the two girls as an example and not everyone. So I gave one a flat twist style and the other two strand twist bangs with a two strand twist ponytail (I even got the ok to trim her ends). The products I used were

Cantu Moisturizing Shampoo
Aunt Jackie’s Moisturizing and Softening Conditioner
Aunt Jackie’s Curl la la Custard

The little girl in the red had multiple hair lengths. I did my best to catch all her hair into the twist. Also I did not have all the tools needed but I did my best!
