Simply put….
Romans 10:17 KJV
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The word of God is the epitome of what you need to activate your faith. Feed your spirit with Gods word daily. It takes a committed heart and a made up mind to devote time to spend with God.
Like any other relationship you need to develop and communicate for most on a daily basis for it to have substance. Likewise should or relationship be with Christ. Once we are feed for the day we can take on whatever comes our way according to wisdom and discernment.
As our faith is built on the foundation of Gods word we will be able to hear what the voice of the Lord is saying to us in every situation.
So if faith comes by hearing we must align ourselves within in an environment to hear. One way I practice hearing is via listening to Sunday’s message throughout the week in my car. As well as sitting in silence to hear what God is saying. Here is the twist……
Although I am listening with my “ears” my heart is what’s truly doing the listening. My heart must be tuned in an open to revive the word that I am listening to throughout the week. Thus when situations arise I don’t just “hear” the negatives reports and give in I “hear” what the word of God has said. His word has said that I am healed in Jesus name that He who is in me is greater than He that is in the world. I have soaked in and heard with my heart and now I am activating my faith. I am putting my faith to work to do that which I desire it to do! I have faith that my marriage will be whole, that I will have children, that I will be all that God desires me to be.
What are you activating your faith to do? Have you heard with your heart of just with your ears? I challenge you today to hear with your heart. Ask God to open your hear to hear His voice and be sensitive to the moving of His spirit.
