NYE I decided to try something new on my tapered natural hair. This was the first time styling my hair myself since my big chop! It was fun and went way faster than I thought.
After watching countless videos on finger coiling natural hair I went for it! First off I had to sort through my closet of products and decide which one to go with. After much debate and YT product review videos, I found my go-to products.
I started this process by washing my hair with V05 Clarifying shampoo and conditioning with their conditioner.

It left my hair squeaky clean and well moisturized. To make the washing process easier I sectioned my hair into 4 parts.
I left my hair in those 4 sections throughout my styling process. After washing I used the L.O.C. method. Leave in, oil, and cream. Here’s what I used

These products definitely left my hair super moisturized and soft. Let’s move on to styling products.

I used my Doux Mousse Def foam to help bring out my natural curl pattern. If you haven’t used any of The Doux products you’re missing out. I then proceeded to use my eco styler gel to keep the coils in place.
For this style you just grab a small piece of hair and twirl your fingers from root until then end. Essentially your coiling each strand with your finger. Hence the term finger coils.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any photos during my styling process but here is the finished look.

I found this style to be super easy and a great weekly protective style. This year I plan to try more styles at home. What are your go to natural styles? I’d love to give it a go! Until next time.
