Thank You Quarantine

Yes, I know it’s crazy and some may say obsurb but I’m grateful for quarantine and here’s why…

Pre “the new normal” I hadn’t communicated with friends and family in the way I do now. It’s a bit different for me now that I’m home and we all have time to connect and communicate with each other. There are no excuses, distractions, or full time jobs eating up our time. If we really think about it the time was there but now we’re actually ceasing the moment and seeing the value of keeping in touch with the ones we love.

Thanks to new apps and tons of video chat streaming networks we get to see each other almost daily. Since quarantine I’ve reconnected with a group of women that I shared life with for about 7yrs. Of course life happens we grew up, had families, marriages, divorces, moved over seas and much more. Needless to say life took it’s tol. One thing that never changed was our love for each other. Yes, we kept up with each other via social media but now it’s different. Wer’e reconnected and it feels so good.

A huge thanks to the Houseparty app for making it so much easier to do so. This app has created so many communities for me. Digital communities tied together through Video chatting. This app allows you with a click of a button to see your loved ones and have a “houseparty.” The ease of this app has us talking, laughing, and reminicing daily. I couldn’t be more happier to have reconnected with my girls during this quaratine. It’s truly made my time home such fun.

Another amazing video chat network that’s brought me closer to my family is Zoom. Honestly I never was a “zoomer” like I am now. My cousin took the initiative to call a family meeting via Zoom and ever since we logon and chat every Friday. This alone is a miracle because my dad side of the family is hugeeeeee no seriously its HUGE! For us to be able to get about 30 ppl on Zoom was AHmazing. It was so refreshing to see my family.

In addition to connecting with friends and family quaratine has also given me an added boost of confidence. Prior to quaratine I was nervous, afraid, and overthinking teh launch of my Pitch Yourself class. I created the content months ago and let it sit for another day. Well thanks to quaratine I decided if not now, then when? I hit launch and held my 1st Zoom class and it was a huge success. I’m also happy to announce that I’ll be holding another class on Monday May 4, 2020 at 8pm. You can claim your spot HERE.

I could go on and on about my gratefulness for this time on quarantine but I’d be here all day. It’s important for me to note that not everyone’s experience is the same. I know some may be dealing with the effects of covid right in their homes. For some they may be dealing with depression or fear. Wherever you are know you won’t be there for long. I’m praying for you and our world.

Love like you’ll never be hurt,

Sing like there’s nobody listening,

And live like it’s heaven on earth.”
